We may collect demographic information to assist us to understand the readership of this blog. This may be estimated using tools such as Google analytics based on your IP address and browser-supplied information. Where we collect this data in a manner that is associated with personally identifiable information such as your name or email address we will obtain your consent to collect this information.

    This blog utilizes the "Gravatar" service to display avatar images next to comments left by users. The blog sends an anonymized string created from your email address using a hashing algorithm to the Gravatar service to determine if you are using the service. If you are using the Gravatar service, then your Gravatar profile picture will be visible to the public next to the comment(s) you have left on this blog.     If you choose to rate a recipe, we store the rating you have provided, this may be associated with the IP address and Browser User Agent information provided by your web browser to help with spam detection.

    Where we collect an email address from you, we may, with your opt-in consent, use this email address to send you marketing material, including newsletters from this blog. We communicate this data to MailChimp to enable these emails to be sent. You may opt-out of these communications at any point.     We use Google Analytics to understand the sources of traffic to this website and enable us to better focus our content on our audience. This is performed by the inclusion of google analytics scripts within the website. The information captured is not linked to a personal identifier such as a name or email address.
