What is Australian Cusine?
Australians eat a wide variety of food. Australian cusine is as varied as the people who live here, from the first nations people to the latest waves of immigrants from all over the world, Australia is a melting pot of cultures and cusines.
Regional tastes in Australia vary and what is popular in Melbourne or Sydney may not be in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth or Canberra!
Australia is famous for Vegemite, Tim tam biscuits, Lamingtons, Chicken Parmigiana, Beetroot on Hamburgers and we really do eat Kangaroo!
Australia is also home to a large Kiwi (New Zealand) diaspora who bring the tastes of home with them like Hokey Pokey ice cream, marmite, Pavlova and Hangi.
